This I am writing to recommend Abigail Oleck Hewett ( Abi) , who has been an invaluable member of our team at The Lightwell ( HTB Church Knightsbridge) for the past six months since May 2024. Abi offers deluxe facials on a weekly basis, transforming our space into the most therapeutic, relaxing, and beautiful environment imaginable. Each week, she blesses 4 to 6 women with life-giving treatments. Many of the women accessing The Lightwell are survivors of trauma or have challenging life circumstances. Abi creates a restorative experience that leaves our women feeling renewed and rejuvenated. She offers all her treatments on a voluntary basis and has also developed a regifting initiative, where we can offer new clothes and styling advice to our women. This initiative has been hugely beneficial, particularly towards the end of last year, our women felt like Christmas had always come early. Abi treats every person with genuine care and respect, which helps our women who join The Lightwell feel dignity and worth. We are hugely grateful for all that Abi is and does for our women's space. I believe her model of therapists offering support on a voluntary basis is incredibly valuable to society, providing treatments to those who might otherwise find them unobtainable. Additionally, the simple act of positive touch for those who have experienced abuse is incredibly healing. The regifting service is also an amazing opportunity to redistribute high-quality fashion items to those who need them most. Thank you, Abi, for making such a difference

I am writing to you in the capacity of Women’s Programs Manager for the Social Transformation Team at HTB. One of the programs I oversee is The Lightwell Weekly Women’s safe space which is called The Lightwell. The space is open for all women. The heart of The Lightwell is about placing value upon womanhood, for women to know they are seen, known, recognized, they matter and there is a place at the table.
At The Lightwell we provide creative arts and crafts table, knitting circle, and beauty treatments for the guests who attend.
Abi has been volunteering at The Lightwell Weekly Women’s Space since May 2024 when we opened. Abi has been dedicated and committed to providing Lymphatic Drainage Facials at the space, and she is passionate about supporting the women who attend the space. At The Lightwell we feel it is not only important for women to experience safe ‘touch,’ as many women have not received or known what safe, ‘touch,’ is, but also for women to know they have worth, they are worth being cared for, and are worthy of having love.
Abi creates a beautiful relaxation space which resembles a spa where the women have their treatments. We really enjoy Abi volunteering in our space, and when she has time she has extended her treatments to our team too. The women who attend The Lightwell have feedback to us that they enjoy their treatments, she has ‘heavenly hands,’ and they come out of their treatments saying they feel uplifted, relaxed and calm. The space Abi has created has often soothed our women, and they feel safe in the space.
I would recommend Abigail Oleck Hewett and Your True Reflection team to support any environments where women need to know they matter, and are cared for.
